UCP three times a winner of Groninger Architectuurprijs

Not once, not twice, but three times a winner! Last Friday, UCP won the first prize from the public jury, the second prize from the expert jury ánd the first prize in the online vote of the Groninger Architectuurprijs. The awards were handed out to atelier PRO director Dorte Kristensen, Marck Vrieling from Vakwerk Architecten and Marion Beldman from UMC Groningen during a festive evening at the Former Royal Tobacco Factory Theodorus Niemeyer, at the closing of the Groninger Architectuurmaand.

One of the guiding principles of the new psychiatric ward at the University Medical Centre Groningen is the connection with the outside world, as this contributes greatly to patient recovery - which is why we are proud that the design is also appreciated by the city's residents.

Congratulations , of course, to Ellen van der Wal, director at Vakwerk Architecten, our partner in this great project, to the entire team who worked on UCP at both offices, and to all the other winners. And a thank you to everyone who voted for us!
